The Maple Laboratory

Since times long gone, the Japanese maple has been a symbolic piece of botany in Japan. From way back, the beautiful shape, figure and red color have been loved and sung about in Japanese poems. Japanese can each feel beauty when they see Japanese maples through the four seasons.
Maple Laboratory Inc. innovate in the areas of taste, ingredients, process methods, and applications of nutraceutical and beauty maple products from our own maple farm. We strive to bring the beauty of Japanese nature to our customers through new products with the colour, body and healthy materials extracted from the Japanese maple.

Building on a long tradition for the future

Throughout history, people have consumed maple foods such as syrup from the sugar maple (Acer saccharum) and red maple  (A. rubrum) sap for health and nutrition. In Japan, there is a long tradition of drinking tea from the Nikko maple (A. nikoense) leaves. Japanese maple leaf tempura and extract has been part of the Japanese cuisine. In China, maple is used as Kanpo folk medicine for inflammation or analgesic therapy. Recent academic research indicates that there is credence to the traditional view of the health aspects of maple foods and drinks.

We aim to build on this tradition for the future and invite international corporate and restaurant customers to learn more about our products and partnership opportunities.
